Christopher A. Ryons
(Director) as "Brandon Rogan-V5"
Making this film has been
a dream come true for Chris, as well as
co-creator/co-writer Sean Garrison. They had the idea to do a film
inspired by “Five Deadly Venoms” 11 years ago.
This is Chris` first directing
project, but it’s not his first film. In
1999, Chris, along with his IkuZo! Studios partner Jim Panetta were
part of a few short films. One was Star Wars fan film called “Fan Wars”
which can be found on theforce.net. Later he was Assoc. Producer, fight
choreographer and starred in IkuZo! Studios` first feature length film;
“Merc Force” directed by Jim Panetta.
Chris always had a fascination
for the performing arts, be it music,
dance or acting. At age 12 he attended Philadelphia’s Freedom Theater.
He went there for acting and came out a dancer. After Freedom Theater,
Chris was part of many dance groups as well as a 4-part harmony group
called “Center of Attraction” and a hip hop group called “East Coast
Boyz”, but acting was something he still loved to do.
A few years later he met Jim
Panetta and Josh Rubinstein. Josh, also a
filmmaker, got Jim and Chris started in filmmaking under the company
name “Orthanc Entertainment”. Later, Josh took a hiatus from
filmmaking, then Chris, Jim and Sean Garrison started IkuZo! Studios.
Our motto: “We may not be big budget, but for what we have and we make
it work, baby!”
Chris’ martial arts background is
a solid one. Chris` main influence for getting into the martial arts and back
into acting by his idol and “1st Sensei” Master
Jason David Frank. Chris has studied
American Kenpo (Parker System), Tae Kwon Do, Cuong Nhu, Praying Mantis Kung Fu
and Shotokan. Though, not a master in any one style, Chris is a very proficient
martial artist.
John Patrick Barry as
"Kyle Park-V4"
John Patrick Barry
John (aka JP or Patrick) caught the acting bug as a child when he
wrote, directed, and performed in his own adaptation of Robin Hood in
third grade, and in the fifth grade where he won a county elementary
school film festival with his adaptation of Knights of Camelot. While
he was still a child, John joined the cast of the Maryland Renaissance
Festival where he learned improvisation and got his first training in
stage combat. Growing up in a rural area of Maryland where he was part
of a mere 1% minority, John distinguished himself as a good student, an
Eagle Scout, a vocal ensemble performer, a merit scholar, a young actor
in high school and in college, and a Western Maryland College graduate.
A black belt in traditional Shotokan and a former martial arts
instructor, John taught Shotokan Karate between 1992 and 1997, but he
also studied Hapkido, Taekwondo, Shorinryu, Tai Chi, Wushu, Judo, and
Gojuryu in an effort to diversify his skills. He has had the honor of
studying under Head Coaches Eric and Debbie Chen of LA’s Wushu Impact
while at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada where he
studied Fights for Film.
In 1997, John was accepted to
the Maryland State Police Academy and
subsequently became a Maryland State Trooper in 1998. During this time,
John became a Collision Reconstruction Specialist, a Child Safety Seat
Technician, a Salvage Inspector, and even a Criminal Investigator for a
short time. For the year 2000, John earned the prestigious Trooper of
the Year Award for Waterloo Barrack, the Chamber of Commerce Trooper of
the Year, an Official Citation for Exemplary Service from the Maryland
House of Delegates, and a nomination for Officer of the Year by the
International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). He retired from
the Maryland State Police in 2002 due to injuries sustained when a
drunk driver crashed into his police cruiser at 85 mph.
John only started his Film/TV
career on the professional level in
February 2003. He has since performed in several independent films such
as Timewarp’s "Crawler," Marauder’s "Fear of Clowns," Cast Iron’s
"Two-Minute Heist," Undead Media’s "A Pound of Flesh," and now in
IkuZo’s "The FiVe!" John recently wrapped as a featured Secret Service
Agent on the ABC pilot “The Service” with Director Clark Johnson. With
two other projects coming up; one in association with Lion’s Gate Films
and the other with Wild Card Films, John is not looking to slow down.
He is currently a member of the International Order of the Sword and
the Pen and part of the Action Unlimited Stage Combat Team. Check out JP`s Official Site

Callie Snow as "Chrissy Gavan"
Callie Snow, is as talented as she is beautiful. She is proof positive
that skillful acting talent isn't just in NYC and
LA. A Philadelphia native, Callie got her start in entertainment as a
model,
appearing in international magazines and television. After college she
returned
home determined to take advantage of Philadelphia's overlooked but
excellent
acting teachers and brilliant filmmakers.
But don't dismiss this beauty as just
another model/actress.
Independant films
are her passion. In an article from last April, Callie said "Even if I
had to
do a hundred commercials for every really good but low-budget film, I'd
do it.
I might only do three films in my life [but I'm] never more alive than
when I
have brought a realistic, multi-dimensional character to the screen."
And there
is no doubt about it, Callie Snow is alive and kicking. Check out Callie`s Official Website
